If there is such a thing as a “traditional” wedding anymore this was it. Something has to be said for the classics; we think Katie and Ron had one of those weddings that echoed the style and grace of previous generations. Yet this celebration was completely their own- from the breath-taking ambience of St.Luke’s to the suave former-casino that is Canfield, it was through and through a reflection of this lovely couple.
Katie and her bridesmaids prepped for the day at Katie’s parent’s house. We love photographing brides in their family homes!
Ron got ready at their home with his groomsmen.
They were married at Saint Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, the church Ron grew up in. It has beautiful windows and stunning architecture.
It is not uncommon for Catholic churches to limit where photographers can work from during a ceremony. As soon as Katie reached Ron at the end of the aisle, we photographed the rest of the ceremony from the balcony. This offered some fantastic views that allowed us to feature the architecture of the church.
We spent some time in Congress Park for portraits before the celebration began.
Canfield Casino is another beautiful location with amazing architecture!
Katie’s grandparents couldn’t help but show their excitment.
Ron’s dance with his grandmother was filled with smiles just like these.
The guests danced the night away to Funk Evolution.
