Laura and Chip were funny and happy from the first time we met via Skype last fall. They knew they wanted a wedding that was filled with Vermont charm and they accomplished exactly that! Here is just a peek into their wedding day:
One of my favorite parts of photographing the bride as she’s getting ready is captured in the photograph above. She’s not completely ready, but she’s almost ready and she’s anticipating seeing it all finished. And hair pinned into curls? I also have a soft spot for those. Beautiful!
These shoes! I’ve never been so drawn to the back of a bride’s shoes before. The mix of materials- satin, leather, rhinestones and metal heels? Brilliant. And these earrings were a something blue gift from Chip for Laura’s birthday. I love when wedding day details have larger places in a couples life!
Sisters buttoning Laura into her stunning gown. Just look at the detail on this back!
Their wedding day was also Chip’s birthday (I’ve decided this is a new trend, as it’s our second wedding this summer that was on the groom’s birthday). Chip was happily surprised by the GoPro Laura gave him.
These boutonnières were perfect! And the bow tie, can you ever go wrong with a bow tie? I love this look.
We love photographing First Looks. This groom finally get’s to see the bride he hasn’t seen, the dress she chose, and all that goes along with it, and she gets to see him, his reaction, and his finished look as well.
Seriously these guys were fantastic to photograph. Look at them!
The color palate for the dresses and flowers was beautiful. Soft and feminine it was the perfect contrast to the bold green mountain backdrop.
A few highlights from the ceremony.
Laura and Chip really wanted to incorporate his love of mountain biking into our photographs, so instead of sending Laura down the mountain on a bike, we grabbed his gloves and added a little edge to what could have been a traditional bridal bouquet photo.
Chip’s brothers and friend had everyone laughing while Laura’s sisters had them all crying. It was a perfectly balanced and beautifully spoken set of toasts full of love and life for them.
We loved sharing in the joy of your wedding day Laura and Chip. Thank you for choosing us and welcoming us in.
